Rashed-e-Torbat Electrical Company
Rashed Torbat-e-Heydarieh Electrical Company, affiliated to the Handling Department of Tamin-e-Atieh Company for the employees of Khorasan Regional Electrical Company, was established in 2008 for establishment of a 500 MW combined cycle block (two gas units and one vapor unit) with registered capital of Rls. 15,000,000,000.
Toward this, EPC contract (engineering, purchasing equipments, production) of power plant was concluded with Iran Power Plant Projects Management Company (MAPNA). It is to be noted that this company concluded a power purchase agreement (ECA) with the Ministry of Energy. The company purchased a land measuring about 170 hectares, bearing 2 water wells in it. 60 hectares of the above-said land belongs to a combined cycle power plant and 110 hectares for a 40 MW solar power plant (this company is permitted to establish a 40 MW solar power plant by Iranian Modern Energies Organization (SUNA)). This company received required permits including license to connect to the public electricity network from the Ministry of Energy, environmental permit from Environment Protection Organization of Iran, and permit for changing application of lands from agricultural to industrial application given by Ministry of Jihad and Agriculture and all other permits.
60% of Rashed Torbat-e-Heydarieh Electrical Company's shares belong to the Handling Department of Tamin-e-Atieh Company for the employees of Khorasan Regional Electrical Company and the rest of which belongs to MAPNA Company.
As expected, establishment of power plant is an act for cost effectiveness of the Handling Department of Tamin-e-Atieh Company to meet regional energy requirements (required for important industries including steel and cement companies).
